I wholeheartedly agree that minorities are often at a disadvantage in our society, and that there is a correlation between race and socioeconomic status in the USA. I think that if true equality is to be achieved, we need to stop separating people (at least in important processes like legal proceedings, college admissions, etc.) by their race at all. It sets a bad precedent, and I hope for a future where no race has any connotation with any socioeconomic class.

The other reply encompassed it really well, but essentially scraping is very very difficult to stop while also keeping YouTube videos publicly accessible (If the video and audio are playing on your computer, there isn't really a foolproof way to stop that from being captured). Whereas using the YouTube API to get videos can be easily stopped by Google.

AFAIK no, privacy badger doesnt really offer more than what you can get from brave settings and likely makes your fingerprint more unique.

I would say it really depends on person, tolerance, strain, etc. The issue with DUIs for THC intoxication is that it's practically impossible to prove that someone is under the influence definitively like you can with alcohol. Even without a shred of evidence a breathalyzer will tell you if someone is over the legal limit, there is no equivalent with marijuana.

I'm pretty sure within the last decade France made it illegal to wear head coverings (with no exception for religious articles like hijabs) in school buildings. I could be mistaken, but I remember thinking that was extreme to the point of racist policy.

Yeah, realistically anyone who is creating websites for a living shouldn't give a fuck about who they are creating it for. The KKK is a terrible example because that is 1. a hate group and 2. a group you join on your own volition. A business could take the same stance against anyone wearing BLM apparel, as that is a group you join on your own volition. Being a certain race or sexuality is not something you join on your own volition, you are a member of that category because of a trait you inherently have not because you decided to join a group.

I don't know if you've used Emacs, but NixOS almost feels to Linux how Doom Emacs is to GNU/Emacs. Not including all the benefits like reproducability, it feels like a reliable framework placed on top of Linux in the same was Doom Emacs is a framework on top of Emacs.
