The most tragic part of this story is that he (with no knowledge of the child being there or intent to shoot anyone in particular in the window), killed an infant baby with a stray bullet. If I remember correctly, the baby's caretaker was there and was permenantly traumatized.

I think the exact opposite, most people's (who are old enough to have learned cursive) handwriting are more legible in cursive. A huge amount of people print AWFULLY.

Although I have no use for storing chat history, SimpleX Chat has an (encrypted) database export feature that should, as far as I know, let you keep your chat history forever so long as you back it up.
