At this rate, I'm leaning towards lemmy.zip or piefed.social. Neither of those instances are the target of defederation campaigns, so I can be sure this community will be accessible to everyone. I'm just a little concerned that either instance could shut down in the same manner as lemm.ee.

Does Piefed not list which instances are federated?

I saw this post just now.

I'm tempted to just move back to [email protected]. I am not interested in constantly hopping between instances when one shuts down, and I know that lemmy.ml will stay up as long as Lemmy is still being maintained.

However, I moved to lemm.ee for a reason. I wanted to be on a large instance that's not associated with partisan politics. What are your guys' thoughts?

It's worth acknokwedgubg that one has to apply in order to become a trusted verifier or to be verified by @bsky.app.

I haven't found much information on this, but considering that their distinguishing feature from Bluesky is Private Posts, I think those would be a necessity.

Under Settings > Moderation > Muted Words, you can mute specific keywords. If you want you can also exclude posts from accounts you follow from being muted.

On the Discover feed, you can also click the three dot menu, then click "Show less of this." However, I'm unsure how effective that is. I don't think Discover is very good, so I use Popular With Friends instead.

To me, that's basically what Lemmy is.
