To answer my own question: no.

reddit is too small, and the bill was designed to apply only to two very large companies: FB and G.

I don't know if a timeline was made public but i imagine back then that either a) you might not even get the notification when made a mod somewhere or b) filterng wasn't good so that particular one was lost and drowned in a ton of notifications.

So it becomes somewhat plausible that spez was actually unaware of this fact for a bit.

That said, my gut feeling is that he knew about it but tried to justify it publicly and to other reddit employees as some kind of "for free speech!" sort of thing. I dare not go any deeper and speculate about his private thoughts on the matter...

Remember though most automated solutions can't overcome the 1000 index limit, even when overwriting. Even doing it manually may not do the job.

Looks like it may be a combo of subs going dark then coming back plus the 1000 indexing limit as mentioned in https://kbin.social/m/RedditMigration/t/47320/PSA-If-you-have-more-than-1000-posts-more-than

Well, I guess you win some, you lose some. Can't wait to see how this one plays out.

Really unfortunate, but quite understandable and possibly even unavoidable at this point.

I wonder if @BotIt or /m/BotIt would help - get the content into the fediverse and then start transcribing what makes it in.

Not sure if I'll ever hear back now that my account is deleted.

The sub I was waiting on finally reopened into restricted mode! All comments and posts are now deleted, and finally deleted the account as well! Feels good to be free.

None that I'm aware of, but it'd be really easy to modify https://github.com/luphoria/reddit-migration (which I mentioned in https://kbin.social/m/RedditMigration/t/59451/Finally-Managed-to-erase-all-1477-of-my-comments ) to do it.

Here's a patch to the above with an untested change that should do what you want: https://kbin.social/m/DataDumps/t/83479/no-overwrite-patch

I fear you are giving too much credit to reddit though - 100% they won't care about the difference. If it nets them more money they will 100% undo the edit and leave only the original content there.

Mods can restrict content, but they cannot truly delete it. It will be hidden from regular users and anonymous folks, but mods themselves and reddit admins can still see the content normally I believe. And if you still had the account, you'd be able to see your own content as well.

Only reddit admins can delete content that belongs to another user, regrettably.

Can someone show me how to find this? I can't figure it out.

Also curious if it's possible to see who is subscribed to a magazine or who is following me.
