Scary AF. I imagine if this happened in Gatorland, FL with a gator population of over 2000 on over 100 acres. Disney would have bigger problems than DeSantis.
Hoping that Corepunk isn't dead. It was looking great in development, but the main dev team was in Ukraine. Was supposed to have CBT last year. Every so often would get breadcrumbs of the work they were doing but it seems to have fallen off. Totally understandable knowing their whole lives and families were impacted by the Russian invasion and continued destruction of Ukraine. Hoping that once they are able to get a semblance of normality back into their lives they will still want to finish the project.
Welcome! This is a great instance, but don't forget to check out communities on all instances. I start by viewing by all, and then when you find a community you like, subscribe to it. Sometimes there are duplicate communities on different servers. You can subscribe to all/both and the widdle down the ones that are most active or the ones you prefer to participate in. Once you got a good set of communities that you are subscribed to it is easier to avoid the things you don't want to see.
Generally people are very friendly if you have questions. You can attempt to look for an answer to your question that may already have been posted in various communities or posts, but at the moment it is a bit difficult to search for individual questions amongst the entire federation and various instances.
Try out one of the apps. I am an android user and prefer Sync, Connect, and Voyager. iOS has Memmy and a few others I am not familiar with. I find it easier to maneuver around Lemmy with an app but the default browser UI works just as well.
Enjoy!
Maybe a pinned post for builds? Making it easier to find.
As for reference websites, I find myself using this one quite frequently https://game8.co/games/Baldurs-Gate-III It is not complete, but the owner appears to be updating it regularly.
If/when Lemmy gets flairs going, that could be helpful in the organization of such categories.
In any case, thanks for keeping up with community interests and continued engagement.
I find myself looking for different builds specifically for multiclassing ideas and end up on the other site. Also would be cool to have a pinned link to good reference sites that helps with builds, showing potential options for each levels of a class with skills/spells available, maybe a site with all that plus a character builder. I am a beginner-amateur DnD player at best but I love the idea of using creative builds to extend the diversity of party member applications.
So does that leave Gale as Krieger, Astarion as Ray, and Withers as Woodhouse?
I have limited experience with ranger. I have had episodes where non-companion NPCs are afraid of my familiar and/or summoned companion and run away from them or make comments like "go away". I have not had an animal companion instantly aggro my ranger Tav or anyone else. Definitely sounds like a bug.
I haven't picked up that game in a bit, but will now be trying it out for science.
Not sure if this is taught in school anymore, but I found the outline process of note-taking to be helpful in both lectures and reading material.
This was the most decent website I came up with that describes the process: https://www.taskade.com/blog/outline-method-of-note-taking/
I felt it was the best way of quickly organizing topics, subtopics, and important items in a way that was simple to read and understand relationships between subjects.
More BG3. Major irl setback my co-op game with my husband and we are only halfway through act 2 in our primary game and act 1 in our "evil" game. I have been casually playing solo on my neutral and evil campaigns, but refuse to go past where we are in our co-op. Really want to experience the game together before I do it solo. It has been a good bonding experience that has increased our relationship happiness. (We're constantly looking for hobbies we enjoy together but somehow keep missing the mark. BG3 currently fits the bill for both of us). Until another worthy game comes out or I get bored of exploring all the BG3 classes, races, and dialogue options this is my jam. Haven't even explored the mods yet. It is so vast. I feel like this will be my primary game for a while.
