Other countries absolutely shouldn't file retaliatory tariffs against the US.
They should simply cut trade entirely and blockade the country from accessing the global market
The "problem" (I hesitate to use the word because open warfare fucking sucks) is that the West has been thoroughly brain poisoned by not having seen an actual open, peer level conflict in 3/4 of a century. Since WW2 the West has only ever conceived of war in terms of abstracts or fighting against barely equipped targets.
Five rounds a day for artillery makes perfect sense when your artillerymen are spending 80% of the war bored and jacking off, maybe called up once a day to bombard a small village. The idea of needing to desperately bombard a position for hours to drive a determined and equipped force back is literally beyond the Western mind most of the time.

Why tf would Russia invade Poland?
There just so evil and orcish and Putin is the Jonkler he's crazy but that's okay NATO exists and would Article 5 a war so Putin will never try to invade but we have to be ready because he's five seconds from invading Poland and Finland simultaneously.
It's simple really.
Anyone who even thinks this let alone utters it in person should be strapped to a chair and forced to read the Queering The Map entries in Palestine, including that absolutely heart wrenching paragraph about someone never telling someone they loved them before it was too late. They should be forced to reread them over and over like it's fucking Clockwork Orange until they break down.
How did liberals forget the rapidly escalating shelling of Ukrainian cities by the Ukrainian government that finally provoked Russia's intervention? This isn't secret information.
They didn't forget. If you bring this up they'll either block their ears and call you an evil Putler bot or smugly tell you that actually Russia started everything by sneaking into Ukraine and forcing the referenda in the east, so actually Russia started it anyway even in 2014.
(Though being completely fair, Russia's blatant lying about having troop involvement in the early stages of the civil war doesn't help their case at all on this front. It's hard to have people believe that one wasn't involved while trying to hide the obvious troops)
Spoken like someone who's never been in a union before.
Personal anecdotes are not gospel. There are people who consider a single dollar as a union fee to be too much money, and hate unions on ideological grounds.
They are, generally speaking, net positives for a worker.
