I mean this is standard behavior every election... outgoing guy says "So and so will be a great leader. Democracy has spoken, etc." I know in this case they're not the outgoing person but standard politics 101.
I don't think so really. I picked my national instance and here I am posting to a kbin server.
Because none are independent. Reselling someone else's network isn't really a great position to be in.
Be the change you want to see in the world! I've been posting to some less busy subs as much as I can hoping to kickstart them. However if you want more NationalPost, Star, GlobeandMail then hit up those front pages and post the stories you think are interesting to Lemmy!
Anyone can run one. Why not run one yourself for $20/month?
It's just a protocol between servers. So no one? Who owns "English"?
Each instance can elect to federate or not federate with others.
I agree this is a complaint that I hope will soon go away. It seems the algorithm also takes into account comments as "activity" so the front page posts get the most comments and thus stay "active" for too long.
Not really sure how I feel about this... on the upper end it makes sense. We let people move out and go to University at 17.
That being said 13 seems a bit low in my head... I'd prefer this being like 15+.. but I guess at the end of the day it's up to each parent.
Return flag(s) to participating retail stores who will dispose of them.
Flags made of natural fibers (wool, cotton, linen) should be burned in a dignified manner; privately without ceremony or public attention being drawn to the destruction of the material.
Flags made of synthetic material (nylon or polyester) should be respectfully torn into strips, with each element of the flag reduced to a single colour, so that the remaining pieces do not resemble a flag. The individual pieces should then be placed in a bag for disposal – the shreds of fabric should not be re-used or fashioned into anything.
Based on my quick google. I'm guessing they're handling burning them / shredding them.
Woke up to some coffee in bed, and a nice card with a gift cert to a brewery tour, mouse pad with my daughter's on it, and a new shirt. Then downstairs for chicken and waffles for breakfast before heading out to the zoo. Had a blast there seeing the kids react to animals they had never seen before.
Then on the way home the older of the two got car sick but we managed and pushed through to dinner which was some hot pot and a nice bottle of red wine.
All in all a pretty fine day, maybe got a bit sunburnt however at the zoo.
I missed quali and I'm so confused 🤔
Happy Canada Day!
