I was feeling sad about Lemm.ee, but right now I feel that perhaps we’re too attached to any one instance lol. It helps to have more than one account and on different instances, to not put all your eggs in one basket, so to speak. It sucks to lose comment and post history though.

It’s impossible. I’d have to leave the place I call home to afford a house (which I’ll probably end up doing someday). At this point it’s no family and kids for me, no pets, I got a pension and play the stock market when I can, work per diem, otherwise just try to rent cheap, share a car, live minimally, and save money for seeing the world with my partner. There are acquaintances who tell me they’re jealous of my lifestyle, which I can’t help but feel a bit uncomfortable with comments like that. If they took a closer look, they would see that there are plenty of comforts that I sacrifice.

It’s true, not just for the U.S. either. And the biggest topics are always economy and immigration. At the end of the day, people will vote for what’s perceived as safety and security, a return to “the old times when things were better.” They will sacrifice freedoms for it. That trade is of course, a lie. And that’s how fascists get voted in, by preying on that fear.
I really don’t prefer the summer, so my favorite activity would be staying indoors or vacationing to cooler areas lol

So I have experience with two dogs. One was used to getting human food so she would beg all the time. The 2nd was raised never getting human food, plus she was a picky eater. And the 2nd doggo didn’t beg for food
