Back in my day we had to get our Internet at the village Internet well.  I remember the dialup modem noises it made as you pulled the bucket up.

That is all. Carry on smartly.

Thanks for all the suggestions! :)

These are some really great songs! I really liked Zoot Allures, mind blowing. If you use Apple Music, they have a pretty badass live version.

Remember puff, puff, pass.

I’m looking for some songs that are basically just someone wailing on a guitar, with little or no lyrics.  Something like Hendrix or Eddie Hazel or Bluesy like Shuggie Otis.

What do you recommend?

So many crusty grey beards in this thread. I love it.

Connection: In the late 1990s, Dazz Band members Bobby Harris and Marlon McClain  created the “United We Funk All-Stars” project, bringing together members from notable funk bands such as the Bar-Kays, Con Funk Shun, the Gap Band, and the S.O.S. Band.

Connection:  Rod Stewart and Eric Clapton did a terrible cover of Blue Moon.

Cocaine is an Eric Clapton hit.

Edit: formatting

Connection: Mendocino is a cool little town in California.

Ok, I’m cheating a little because it was technically released in the late 90s, but it’s peak was definitely in the 2000s.

I’m excited to see Vladimir Prelovac from Kagi’s talk.

What talks (or anything else) are you looking forward to? Link for inspiration.

Discuss.

Alan Parsons first rose to fame as a studio engineer at Abbey Road Studios with the Beatles, where he was a tape operator and assistant engineer.  He later was the audio engineer for Pink Floyd on DSOTM where this song came from.
