I enjoyed all the experiences. But public transportation is significantly more stressful and uncomfortable now, with longer waits, more aggressive searches, overworked and aggravated staff, fewer amenities, bigger expenses, cramped seating, travelers who angrily seek political confrontation, and obnoxious delays. There’s really nothing pleasant about it anymore, hence “it’s more of a hostile endurance test”.
WHARRGARBL
Between 9/11 and Covid, I was invited by a flight crew to ditch my Midwest destination and continue on to a party in Baltimore, guided by a stranger on a long bus trip and given his blanket so I could sleep leaning against him, shared food and gossip for hours with a large group of people I didn’t know, was offered a home-cooked meal and a night at a ranch in Texas with my family, exchanged numbers with new friends, etc.
Now traveling isn’t a holiday - it’s more of a hostile endurance test. We all just want to be left alone.
I’m not finding anything about a billionaire family or his potential $100 million inheritance. While there’s no denying he grew up in a wealthy family, the online speculation articles are mostly guessing at the value of his grandmother’s estate - which would be divided among 10 children. It all looks like guesswork.
Any legit sources for Luigi Mangione’s net worth?
Pinkerton stayed with the St Louis PD until he was “forced out” in 2021. He posted on Facebook:
“For all you mother f—— at the St. Louis Police Department,” one post began last November, “especially the Internal Affairs Division, you can all kiss my a— for condemning me and pushing me out of my decorated career and losing my ability to retire with the benefits I wanted, all because I exposed the corruption behind the prosecution of Derek Chauvin.”
Don’t worry, he immediately bounced to a police department in a nearby town, where he remains on active duty.
The zombies are waiting.
