This week SDDM–the venerable login manager used by KDE and some other DEs–finally got a new release after two and a half years! This work was pushed through by a variety of KDE contribu…

More powerful and better battery should be the pinnacle of research, to sustain the development and research of products which use it.

This is why we should push against attempts to strangle open-source AI products and research.

Password manager is a Post-It note.

This thing infuriates Vulcan, too many times.

Mainstream news website covering federation drama like subreddit drama on the Snoo Platform.

Well, one of the good thing out of the Snoo Platform (reddit) was the Global Reddit Meetup Day (GRMD), and local subreddit meetups.

Vulcan was participated in local GRMDs from 2017 to 2019.

Do you like community meetups with your subreddit community? Or even participated in a GRMD in the past? Share your story, Kbinauts!

They are good at buying magazines and tech website companies, especially under last CEO.

Imagine Publishing (in the UK), Purch Group (Tom's Hardware, Anandtech), NewBay Media (this one is for business-to-business titles), Bauer Media and nextmedia consumer technology titles (in Australia), TI Media (formerly Time Inc. UK/IPC Media) , GoCompare, Dennis Publishing...

And somehow proceeded to ruin their acquired assets with homogenised websites and SEO-sanitised contents...

(Certain NewBay Media assets were later resold to another companies, like MCV/Develop (this one was probably for competitive reasons, because owning consumer magazines and business-to-business magazine about video games would run afoul of competition rules).

Well done, Snoo Platform.

You just rallying the subreddits against you, investors must be so proud with this development.

At this point you’ve heard a lot about Plasma 6, and each of my weekly “This week in KDE” brings news of a few new features, UI changes, or bugfixes that are only in Plasma 6. But…

There’s some of interesting Plasma 6 news, but I’m saving it for another post in a day or two, so it doesn’t distract from all the great work that KDE contributors landed on other…

Although my first anime was back during early childhood (back when anime programme block was a regular thing in Indonesian television). Vulcan just really started following anime seriously during junior high school back in 2012 (classmates are into Attack on Titan and Sword Art Online during that time, and we often chatted about latest anime airing during class break. A friend was also into osu! and we played together).

So, kbin anime, how did you get into anime? Share your story here.
