It's not just visual, posts from these communities don't show up in the subscribed feed. At least that's the way it is for me. Sometimes clicking the button again twice helps, but not always. Though at least that adds the communities to the list of subscribed communities.
Edit: Hm, just checked again, and I was wrong. Seems like they are showing up in the subscribed feed. Maybe I got that impression from some other issues my instance had before updating.

I have to admit that I didn't watch the whole video, I just assumed based on the last redesign. But I looked into it and apparently there are several reasons besides security reasons, among them making the banknotes more sustainable and environmentally friendly.
I'm assuming they are updating the security features to make them as counterfeit-proof as possible. Giving them a new design makes it easier to tell the old ones and the new ones apart.

Mir geht's genau andersrum, ich kann nicht nachvollziehen, warum manche Leute so darauf beharren, dass "alkoholfreies Bier kein richtiges Bier" sei. Sofern das alkoholfreie Bier gut schmeckt (und mittlerweile gibt es viele richtig gute), bedeutet das für mich, dass diese Leute Bier nicht Bier mögen, sondern Alkohol.

Das ist echt noch eine Stufe heftiger, als ich dachte.
Ich hab 9gag aufgegeben, lange bevor ich reddit entdeckt hab (letzteres war 2018, ersteres weiß ich nicht mehr), weil ich zuerst die Kommentare und dann auch die Posts zunehmend unangenehm fand. Schon damals kam immer mehr Misogynie und Ausländerfeindlichkeit auf und die vibes haben einfach nicht mehr gestimmt.
Tatsächlich hab ich schon vor der Shitshow des letzten Monats gedacht, dass manche Ecken auf Reddit sich immer mehr wie 9gag damals anfühlen, also würde mich nicht wundern, wenn es da in die gleiche Richtung geht.
Verwarnung wofür? Das war doch eindeutig Notwehr! Der arme Fahrer musste sich gegen den Angriff auf sein Recht da jetzt aber langfahren zu müssen verteidigen! (/s, weil es so gruselig sehr nach etwas klingt, was manche ernsthaft denken)
