insurance does not cover it fully, and i do not want to remove the nail completely. i have already had it shortened on the sides and they still ingrow, during that i got hit with a bunch of extra costs the insurance didnt want to cover. My method involves no blood, no surgery, allows me to have a toenail to still protect my toe, very helpful if you drop something from the fridge on it or whatever else nails come in handy for.

I have an underlying issue that my toenails grow in a way that causes them to get thick and turn into the bedding. Its simple to understand, i have dug my own ingrown toenails out before and know a lot of people that would prefer to do that on the couch than see a doctor.

This drimmel thing is like $15 on amazon, i only have to worry about it for like 5 minutes every several months and it keeps me pain free.

I have personally found when they are a little thinner the flexibility is what prevents the ingrown nature. It has been working for close to 5 years.

Not everything needs to be addressed by a doctor, not everybody has the resources or availability of a podiatrist. It works for me and so far the only other responses have involved carving the toe up themselves, and I have never seen advice like mine online.

It works for me and has provided immediate relief to some bad ingrown nails once i got the maintenance schedule figured out for how fast my nails grow

i use a grinder similar to a drimmel that i originally bought for my dog's nails and took off the shield to try it on mine, works best after a long shower, careful with heat! that can hurt, a damp nail helps

so i get ingrown big toenails, i have tried toenail surgery to reduce the size of my toenails, but the problem persists.

I have found that grinding down the top layers of the toe nail instead of the ends provides long lasting relief, but also somewhat immediate relief of currently ingrown nails by somewhat alleiviating the pressure.

i posit the majority of ingrown toe nails can be relieved by a simple grind down of the top layers of the nail rather than the end points. From a structural POV the top layers push down on the end of the nails and give it rigidity against the natural shape of the toe's meat.

reducing that rigidity allows a more natural adaption of the nail bed to the nail meat that does not cause need for surgery.

yeah, you got the same vibe from the political professors that Jon Stewart had on his podcast last week. Just depressed and resigned.

Maurice previously had considered himself lucky when at first noticing the toilet paper dispenser was empty, graciously accepted whatever luck had availed him of some extra paper from the next stall. After having lost his job earlier that day, Maurice was finally hoping his luck had turned.
