I'm just glad that there is finally a banning question that's not about me!! :)
I personally think it's bad form to ban someone from your community for things said outside the community.
I've been writing for about 15 years. Only got really serious about it about 3 years ago. And now I'm retired, I take it way more seriously and am working on honing my craft. I've published stories here to Lemmy too.
I consider myself the world's 'okayest' writer, haha. But it's been working for me! Actually, the criticism I receive on Lemmy, especially the over-the-top petty and hateful comments, has been quite beneficial; it's great for brainstorming when I need someone incompetent or blindly loyal in my stories. These critiques inspire many of the characters in my narratives.

Studied/learned more Esperanto. Wrote more short stories. Worked on a little craft book nook. Studied/learned more math. Started my own Lemmy instance. Started a new rowing program. Worked out. Did my "one mile a day" runs (trying to do it for 365 days straight). Put up floor-to-ceiling bookshelves in my living room. And started learning sign language with my girlfriend.
Keep writing. As the late GREAT Ed Wood said: "Keep writing. Your story may not get better, but your writing will."

I know what the thread is about. I'm the one who posted the article.
Because someone was implying that because of rich people at the event, trump isn't for the working class. And I was saying rich people were at the previous president's event as well, and he wasn't for working class either.
I never mentioned, nor implied, that Biden was going to be on power again.
