And here I thought I couldn't afford my house because of all that avocado toast...

Odd, I have plenty of social interaction and haven't had facebook in over a decade. I even moved states and made an entirely new friend group, all without having a facebook.

Your problem is you lied to someone you were trying to create a relationship with. What did you expect? That she wouldn't see through a hasty attempt to make it look like you actually used the account instead of just being a dead account? For all she knows, you're going to leave her in a ditch somewhere and you're just hiding your tracks...

Just be honest, and if someone's not going to want to hang because you don't have a particular social network already, they're doing you a favor by not wasting your time.Find better friends that you'll actually enjoy spending time with and communicating. Get a hobby or something...

Nah, its worse than nothing. Doing nothing would mean people would still be outraged about it. This meaningless gesture is just there to get people placated and bored so they'll move on and let the SCROTUS get back to their luxury yacht tours and flying on private planes 'that were going to be flying anyway' in peace.

I think the logic is so politicians can't just slap someone with a charge in a kangaroo court to block them from running as opposition.

Given how fucked up the ~~justice~~ punishment system is in this country, I can't say I don't agree with it, even if I hate it in situations like this.

If he wasn't, he's be called an antisemitic jew hater for daring question the Israeli narrative. Anything less than full throated support is akin to supporting Hamas according to a very large amount of stupid and/or intellectually dishonest people.

Backbreaking is the best way to describe working construction. We did general framing/siding/roofing, and my body hurt every day after I was done. I went into IT specifically for the mental challenge, and because I saw how my uncle and grandfather's bodies were broken by a lifetime of construction and didn't want to deal with it for myself.

I'll gladly take learning new skills constantly over breaking my body.

Having worked construction for a few years before getting my IT degree:

"I'm presented with a single argument that refutes this claim, better setup a strawman that this is the only argument available"

Lmao, at least try to sound intelligent

None? People don’t starve to death in western countries. And where they do the issue is lack of infrastructure.

"This thing doesn't happen, and when it does, it's not the fault of capitalism itself" is a monumentally stupid argument. Especially when talking about the homeless population, which absolutely does have people that starve.

A communist government couldn’t conjure the resources needed to build that out of thin air either.

And the capitalist economy chose not to build it because it wasn't profitable, or after it was built, it was too expensive to be used.

Fucking communist countries have killed how many millions of their own citizens?

Bruh, centuries of capitalist exploitation of its citizens and treating them like a disposable commodity would like to have a word on the whole 'citizens killed by their own country' topic.

How many thousands or millions of citizens die yearly because they can't afford to live in this fucked up system?

You might try to find an app that helps gamify your to-do list. I got LifeUp configured on my phone to remind me to do tasks regularly and give me 'coins' and xp for doing them. Too bad I'm too lazy to slip the rewards part to fuller game it.
