How do those compare to fiberglass blankets? I do firecupping and appreciate having the protection of the blanket, but don't want to worry about shards making my partners itchy. But I'll deal with the itch if it means no fire worries...

I've got both a fire extinguisher and a fire blanket, and I've only ever needed the blanket so far. $26 for a 5' square fiberglass blanket that did the trick immediately the first time it was needed.

If it's a real extinguisher, can't you just have it recharged and reuse it?

My "favorite" moment like this was when I was doing IT for a surgery center and one of the surgeons walked by in a "this mask does nothing" mask.

Like, how the fuck are you so pilled that your dumb ass ignores a critical part of the PPE you wear literally every day?

Could be related to pest issues. If you have problems with mice or roaches, I'd absolutely not even blink at a rule like that. Especially if they're leaving dishes and shit just sitting out on the reg.

Pour one out for sunny, Reaganesque Republicanism.

Yep, those sunny people that laughed about the aids crisis. Man, such positivity...

You only need to be in the top 5-10% of earners in the US to start to afford the cheaper super cars.

I’m pretty sure you just don’t like the idea that middle class individuals can afford supercars

Which is it? Can I be middle class and afford a supercar, or do I need to be upper class (being in the top 10% of earners) to be able to afford one? Because I'd love to hear an argument that "middle class" and "top 10%" are remotely the same that didn't make me laugh in your face.

Yes, as stated below that includes property taxes and insurance, things that this person likely isn't thinking about and isn't figuring into their monthly payment. I hope I'm wrong, but I've watched friends crash and burn doing something similar.

Sure, if you ignore all kinds of other factors like additional closing costs added to your mortgage, as well as stuff like insurance and property taxes and the interest on the loan itself. But yeah, simple arithmetic....

I wish it was as easy as just a percentage of the mortgage every month

If you're looking at 300k @ 8%, youre not going to be paying anything similar to your current rent. I got a place for 190k @ 6%, and I'm paying about 200/mo less for my mortgage than you do for rent. At that rate, I'd be surprised if you got out under 2500/mo.

It’s a very strange mistake to make on their part

No its not, its purposeful disinformation from a group trying to justify war crimes.
