In her mind she IS fighting for "right vs wrong". She's just REALLY fucking wrong about which side is "right". One of the biggest things I've learned in life is that EVERYONE thinks that they're the hero. That they're doing good and the "others" are the bad guys. Rowling is a piece of a shit but she THINKS she's the good guy and that's the most dangerous part of all.

Because it is a prison. It's meant as a threat to hold over you to keep you afraid and not talk and prevent you from getting competent care from medical professionals. It's also an easy throwaway place where society can chuck the "undesirables" and forget about them. It's not a hospital. It's not meant to help you get better. It's punishment and isolation. That's the point.

I like roguelikes and deckbuilders, and I LOVE slay the spire but I'm pretty ambivalent on poker. I've had my eye on this but is it just "poker but a little quirky" or would it be worth my time as a non poker fan?
