High income countries dislike the poor working conditions and authoritarian government. Those things are par for the course in middle income countries so it’s not as big of a deal.

Seriously. The last 8 years have shown us that 99% of people are pretty rock solid of who they are voting for. Attempting to overthrow the government moves the needle 0.1%
