well there's also the whole thing where it's an antediluvian Walmart that warps the minds of those within it into hollowing out their societies and leaving them defenseless to the encroachment of soulless technology that's literally made of condensed and corrupted life.

damn I wish they would have leaned more into the cosmic horror side of things with that series

the only line really worth is felix's "RIGHT TO WORK" but I personally love how the DE devs totally got one over the chapos and paid them nothing cause they wrote the project off as just some dumb indie game and didn't ask for any compensation for the few VA lines. Will was seething about all that coke money he missed out on when the game got huge.

Unfortunately I have anecdotal evidence to support what you said and in that case the scandal basically destroyed the entire org since the leadership was involved

How many comrades of the past met each other through the Soviet Party or the Communist Party of China or in Cuba or Vietnam? Probably millions.

I would not be so sure. From what I have read party members in the Indochinese/Vietnamese Communist Party explicitly described themselves as having a sibling-like relationship with each other and sleeping around in the party would cause scandal. At least one man was executed by other party members when a woman comrade reported him, though there might have been some SA behavior going on in that case. I'm pretty sure that the CPC was similar in that regard too. I also believe Trotsky had somewhat of a "reputation" within the Bolsheviks for that sort of thing, which seems to indicate it wasn't that common there either (or that could have just been made up one of his many haters).

Not saying it never happened in history but ultimately people should be there to work and it's the same problems with dating at work, and those problems multiply when you're trying to run the party as an honest to marx people's liberation army. It did seem more acceptable later when those parties transformed into government bureaucracy though.

Don't take it so personally. sure EVs have a role to play but if we're to be serious about tackling climate change and environmental sustainability it's going to require massive infrastructure redevelopment projects, not asking everyone to please swap to rechargeable batteries. It's not about being "right enough" it's about recognizing a non-solution and also on a policy level a blatant scam. All these EV subsides the liberal Biden administration is throwing out are an obvious hand out to the failing American auto industry to try to keep them competitive and desperate ploy to their quickly dwindling supporters for them to look like they're doing anything worthwhile on climate change at all.

Having every American buy a new electric car is just going to make a few auto executives rich as hell and not even reduce overall global emissions because those cheaper ICE cars that can't be sold in America are just going to go to other parts of the world that don't have EV infrastructure but have plenty of already existing gas stations. And there's all the emissions of actually building the damn things. No, they need to put their money where their mouth is and build some fucking trains.

The atrocity propaganda has been happening since the dawn of modern war and even before that.

"Do you condemn the Irish Catholic rebels?"

I expect "Operation Prosperity Guardian" to be really boring actually. Yemen shoots a few drones at the coalition fleet, the fleet intercepts them with 4x as many missiles worth enough money to end world hunger overnight. Maybe they drone strike an abandoned firing position or elementary school in retaliation like they normally do. Rearm and repeat for weeks. No warships sunk but also still too dangerous for merchant shipping. Half measures all around.

Though ansar Allah could have some clever plan or just score a lucky hit, in which case we may have some decades happen. But tying down three US carrier groups is impressive enough on its own.

Am I overreacting or does "we will financially ruin anyone organizing a peaceful protest" not logically lead to adventurism?

it logically leads to more than adventurism, it leads to whole organizations choosing to operate underground. He's inadvertently creating a market incentive for rebellion ancap-good

I disagree, the tricolor made it look too European.
