I work at a mid-size ISP. Abuse emails are getting looking at. However, please include relevant details in your messages. Many emails simply say "stop what you're doing" without any specifics, even attack source IP.

Renewables gives more opportunities for such companies to to do such things. Instability of grid is main reason. But I fail to see how it is related to batteries? They can do exactly same with just coal.

It used to be useful years ago to cover some unexpected costs. But now pure waste of money. To many exemptions and caps.

I was in in out that project since probably 1998. It was one of longest running.

Put docker to ZFS ( you should do it anyway regardless of encryption) and use ZFS native encryption. Benefits over other filesytems that you can load/unload decryption keys to sensitive data only when need to access it. And you can backup it in encrypted form, so you backup software will never see plain text. You can do similar stuff with VeraCrypt or other encrypted volumes and bind mount.

Do not see it is possible. You need a LAN gateway in Aunt's network. SmartTV usualy do not support any VPN services. It does not need to be same box as router.
If Aunt's internet have a fixed ip, than you can expose you Plex server and other things to internet and allow access only from that IP. If Aunt's internet has dynamic IP but you can somehow use Dynamic DNS to trace it ( many SOHO routers support it out of box) and than configure FW on your home network to open ports only to IP it get on DNS. It is more tricky and IP on you r FWwill not be updated instantly if Aunt's IP changed.

Proper RA VPN is right way to do it unless you need to use it with dumb smart tv ( i guess Google TV stick allow to install VPN software on them ). Wireguard/Tailscale/Headscale/Nebula are all fine it just depends how much infra you want to manage. But in all this case VPN softwere need to be installed on each endpoint.

Unfortunately you can't build grid on renewables alone. It need's massive storage, overprovsioning and serious investment in long range transmission. All this pushing prices up. Renewables is create as long as you can delegate providing stability and reservation to other type of generation. With current technology pure renewable grid will be prohibitively expensive. Biggest problem is lack of good storage technologies. Even well established technology as wind turbine is still not well understood. Recently discovered major problems with Siemens wind turbines is good illustration. Nuclear is not great but it is only available technology we have now, which can fully replace fossil fuel.

We have solution, nuclear power. Well tested and mature. Green, cheap to run and reliable. all these experiments can wait, we need to start phasing coal now.

Less livestock , less meat. Not an option.

Are you running LAN-to-LAN between your and aunt's ? Where RA VPN is coming into picture? Whole network setup is bit unclear form your description

It is probably first weaponized AI deployed to the wild. How they can be sure it will not spray dogs, or humans in t-shirt with cats. Not to mention that missed shots will be laying around ready to kill anything which touches it.

IS there better video to count tiles? But judging by integrated test failing tiles is not a big problem now.
