If we want to get rid off coal in next 20 years, we need. We can't afford pure "classic" renewable grid using currently available technologies. renewables becomes extremely expensive when you can't relay on traditional generation for grid stability.

I just decided to do not give a fuck about how my house look at summer and just put a shade cloth vertically on along all east wall with about 10 cm gap to walls. Work wonders. It is way cooler inside.

And they choose go hydrogen way. Bold move, especially with re-usability.

SMR is actually bad idea. They produce way more nuclear waste than big reactors, and probably will cost more to build and definitely more to run for same power. We need just good proven "old" nuclear. Not waiting for new technology and become test site for it.

These IPs will be only resolved on nfsd restart. So you still need static IPs for nodes.

What puzzles me why house batteries are about $1000/kWh wile battery cells are about $100/kWh wholesale. Whole hi-tech part is in cells, test just packaging and wiring. Why we do not see house batteries for better prices? Car with battery will cost you less than house battery of same capacity as car has.

I was using QNAPs NASes for more than 10 years. It was a great product, not anymore. Feature bloat took its toll. It can do a lot but do it badly. So if you go for prebuild avoid QNAP. Build your own.
