Yeah, but the conversation is about people being bale to afford it at all? Of course people who can afford it... Can afford it? That number is under 1% of the population, so it really shouldn't be a thing.

I live in Canada, so...
Doesn't have anything to do with $20k being absurd, but...
I actually can't tell if you're being serious or not...
Are you..?
Average salary in my city is ~$60k. $20k for a flight is ludicrous.
The point I was trying to make was that, more often than not, it doesn't matter how transparent and honest you are, a lot of people will never buy into the "I forgot again" excuse because you're supposed to "learn from your mistakes."
I'm exactly the same way as you, except it can get a lot more difficult when I add in my constant need to please everyone. It's almost not worth the effort to be honest when the people you're talking are not reciprocative of your struggles, even though they claim to acknowledge your illness.
I'm not sure there was any need to be so defensive about it, but it was on me for not properly explaining my thought process. Just trying to have a critical conversation about the problems that plague us.
If you'd like to try and find a faster way to alienate a neurodivergent person, this is basically it.
My parents still have no clue how to regulate there comments when I mention my difficulties. They love pointing out how "pretty much everyone struggles with getting their real life taken care of."
Yeah, and I'm sure everyone else also sits there for hours at a time, lamenting themselves for not being able to get up and getting it done. It's less about the inability to get started, and more about the excruciating guilt you feel when simple tasks take hours of internal bargaining to finally get done.
Outer Wilds, 100%. It might be missing the mark a little bit by the end, but it never demands anything more than your curiosity to discover. More than likely, it will make you want to explore every nook and cranny.
And definitely go in completely blind and enjoy the story.
Ninja edit: Outer Wilds is absolutely phenomenal, my comment about it missing the mark is purely based on you looking for a chill game. It is very chill all the way through, until you really start digging in and it wants you to explore everything.
Definitely support this from the eco angle, but given how much you seem to use these bags (100 is a lot, but 6 years is a long time), do you not feel the $15/year is really not a big deal? Over that time, you've saved ~$75, which over 6 years... It's not that much.
Not trying to discredit the method, I'm just curious as to what makes the method work for you!
I'm assuming you have played it, but Doom Eternal takes all of the good from 2016, improves all of it, and adds a whole slew of features that are virtually all positive. That, with a pretty impressive story to boot, DOOM Eternal might be my favorite sequel of all time.
Lmao to that. It almost as if the lies people have spread about how the system is supposed to work has gotten out of hand, so controlling it has become nigh impossible. No wonder the backlash to Gamestop went how it did.
And I know this will sound facetious (just trying to be helpful!), but the phrase "lazze fair" is spelled "laissez-faire". It originated in 18th century France!
The reasons might be fine, but my opinion is that is whole thing is a little bit... Blown out of proportion.
Just on a couple of your points:
- The muscle memory point is very valid, but that boils down to not liking change for changes sake. Muscle memory can always be rewired, and it will take less time than you think it will.
- The discrepancy between desktop and mobile has always been there, imo. So many of the desktop features were crammed away into menus and submenus that were hard to use on mobile. With a new mobile-centric design, we may not know where everything is yet, but it'll likely be easier to access once we get more familiar with it.
The other thing for me is that Discord is the messaging app I prefer, by a long shot. If they see this as an opportunity to add SMS linking to their feature set, and allow users to then also bridge those from the mobile to desktop version, it would solve a lot of communication issues I have, having everything in one place.
It's a welcome change in my book.
Large corporations are, indeed, soulless and thankless. No amount of their pandering to the masses with charity campaigns and outreach programs ever end without them making money.
Knowing this, I prefer to take everything at face value. If I start concerning myself with the ulterior motives of these people that don't believe in class equality, I will very quickly want to put a lightbulb in my mouth.
For those familiar, Destiny 2 (a video game by Bungie, the originators of the Halo franchise) has come under scrutiny lately due to mass layoffs, and the following PR nightmare it has turned into. With every day that passes, we learn more thanks to the diligent work of journalists doing their job.
I appreciate knowing to help me make informed decisions about who I fiscally support, but I will spend my money on entertainment based on the value it gives me. Not the morals I'm told I should have by people bickering on the internet, and content creators that use these situations as clickbait.
And that all goes for any corp, I'm just largely invested in this one example. I am aware that Nestle is garbage ass company, but due to me not existing in their world view, I will buy a KitKat when I want one, thanks.
Yeah! Who cares about women, fuck em!
/s
People care about women, you goon. Realize that there are many more important issues affecting the global landscape, we shouldn't care about some fake naked pictures of a popstar.
I'd rather them find solutions to things like the 2 active wars happening in the world, the bubbling civil war on the American southern border, and golbel tensions reaching highs only seen at the beginning of the last 2 world wars...
Lets fix that shit before we allow ourselves the luxury of protecting peoples' shareholders.
