I thought this was about Valve's fork of wine for a moment and I was about to rant

That's the business model all gyms use, doubly so for nationwide chains like Planet Fitness
They all also make it very very difficult to actually stop membership, it's like it's baked in the business model
I know of several examples from friends where they had to actually tell their bank to block all transfers in order for them to actually stop pumping money.
Looked at the account and when you said "this is genuinely what they do" you did mean it, jesus
The right failson in the wrong place can make all the difference in the world
This person managed to get themselves banned from lemmy.world
Their history there includes pearls such as "fuck commies" and intense defenses of landlords (pretty sure they're one themselves)
so we now know the amount of Arab people France deems reasonable to sacrifice for the Zionists - officially about 20k, and again officially about 10k children
When it comes to sacrificing or actively killing Arab people, France has no limits
Just ask Algeria
Holy shit, the new Owlcat game got out ?
Thank you ! also RIP my upcoming weeks
Actual "prepping" is 90% knowing your neighbours / being part of a local community.
With that being said, having a bag with some cash, a water filter, a rechargeable radio and the like is absolutely useful and is actual government advice in many countries (despite rarely being advertised a lot); as well as having food on hand if possible for a few weeks. Especially for local natural disasters / disruption of services.
New communiqué today from the exact same French frigate (Languedoc) as last time (here for the text, in French); saying a drone attack from Yemen targeted a Norwegian oil tanker, the Strinda, and the frigate intervened to protect it "successfully".
The tanker was nevertheless hit and a fire occurred on board, apparently. Ansar Allah also confirmed they hit it, saying it was carrying crude oil to Israel.
I attempted my first homemade vegan milk chocolates today (specifically for christmas, got a themed mold for it)
It was a failure, but an informative one; put too much cocoa powder and not enough almond milk powder. It's sugary enough, but it looks and tastes more like dark chocolate (except for the sugar level)
Making a double boiler for the cocoa butter was neat though, worked perfectly; also that cocoa butter thing is fucking expensive. I've read substituting coconut oil for it, at least partially, works; I'll also try that soon.
