Not the best example. Payday 2 happens to be my most played game of all time. They did get review bombed when they added stat improvements on unlockables, and that was reversed, but they also got review bombed when they started microtransactions after very clearly saying they would never do so (drills/safes). That was never reversed, and only got worse with time. The fact that it is PvE co-op only, makes "pay 2 win" way less important, and I could still "win" very easily without any of those minor stat increases. The original vision was that players just pay for new heists, and anyone could play any heist - just not host unless they owned the content.

I do not agree that the game is bad. The gamplay, mechanics, and feel is near perfect. The design, art, and sound is amazing. I am not happy with the current state from a monetization standpoint, but to say it is a bad game - objectively, that is wrong. The reviews of the original game before the new monitization strategies were all great, and the core gameplay still exists. I still play, and still have a great time when I do. I just protest with my wallet. If it was a bad game, there would not be so many people playing it and shelling over money for skins.
Spoken like a true Darknet Diaries listener :)
I truly detest the "review bombing" culture, but in the same breath - Blizzard has really screwed up on OW2.
OW was honestly one of my two most played games of all time - and I loved it. The loot boxes were annoying, but hey...if I wanted to, or chose to - I could buy more and got a decent chance of getting what I wanted. The issue was that I had nearly everything by the end, and rarely bought loot boxes. The content wasn't there to keep people buying cosmetics.
The new shop/token/battle pass stuff is really really toxic to gaming. I will admit that I have bought a few battle passes. When the content is there, I will pay. I would totally buy skins if they were in the vein of $5-7usd, and were for a hero I liked... but there is no way in the world that they are getting me to pay 20-25 on a skin. Its honestly so disgusting.
I really was unaffected by the single player stuff, because I only enjoy multiplayer games - but the way it was done showed disregard for the loyal players so it makes me lose trust in the company. I am honestly just sad about what happened to the OW universe. The only way for people to voice that feeling/emotion is to vent and move on. I guess the reviews serve as a good warning to potential new players.
Is there a driver version that I can downgrade to? I just cannot do Comfy. I gave it a good try. I have used GRisk, Auto, and Invoke and liked them all - I just cannot get used to Comfy.
Along the same lines, but not to this level:
A few years back, we had a family member who is at a very extreme end of the political spectrum give my kids a book set that they "saw in a facebook ad" that said it was all about wholesome family values. It was called the "Tuttle Twins."
Not knowing what it was, we started reading them with our kids. The first book we read was fantastic(we read out of order). It talked about pencils, and followed the entire supply chain. Very informational, entertaining, and educational. It wasn't until the 2nd book, and on that the agenda crept in. Funny how when they talked about crime, all of the cartoons of criminals were diverse. When they talked about landscapers and gardeners, they were all depicted as hispanic. It kept getting worse and worse. Talking about education being corrupt, about how much immigration impacted people, and tried to justify a lot of things. We stopped reading early on, but I browsed them all to make sure I wasn't imagining it. Then I googled them, and I realized how bad the propaganda was.
Yeah it's very odd. I tried comfyUI. I but the interface just doesn't click with me.
I keep waiting for invoke AI to have an auto installer for that model but they are still only offering the SDXL .9 and I don't have a token for that model.
I was having a hard time finding it again...turns out it was the AI-trepeneur channel. At first it does seem like he's just going to point everyone towards his patreon, but he does go into the manual process later on in the video.
Good point. I watched a Nerdy Rodent video about installing it, and he showed that he used the sdxl_base_vae and sdxl_refiner_vae safetensors, and that is all he copied over. No other files. I went back to the repository and pulled those two file and put them in my checkpoint folder. I reloaded my web user bat file and I got the new checkpoint to load. It took about a minute. I got one image to generate at 1024x1024 but it took about 3 minutes to generate. It looked normal, but I cannot help but think it should be a bit faster than that. But then I noticed my whole machine tanked when running it. It bogged down all 32gb of my ram, and it was showing my gpu was barely doing anything. Maybe there is some kind of memory leak. I may have to check my gpu drivers to see if something is going on.
Are those vae safetensors the only files I need? The tuturial didn't talk about the lora offset or the vae files...so I didn't add them this last time.
Chances are that this will all be considered and charges won't go through...probably some type of restorative justice process, with some mental health support. At least, one would hope.
But this was incredibly painful to watch, and thinking of the kid growing up in that home hits me in the feels.
I would love to learn more. Any links to reputable sources on that research?
OW no longer has loot boxes or random chance, so plenty of people shell put for ridiculous skins for their favorite heroes, so this is a bit different of a case
