Nationalize the drug industry.

Bluetooth didn't work on my laptop. Got new bluetooth card (exact same type). Bluetooth still didn't work.

Turns out:

  1. The specific card doesn't support Linux.
  2. My laptop has a hardware whitelist in the BIOS that prevents me from installing any other card.
  3. My headphones don't support USB bluetooth.

This is an image someone else posted here. Asking if there was a desktop environment that looked like that. There wasn't really.

For the record, I run Linux Mint Xfce with Chicago95. Honestly it was a mistake, the vibes of the UI are nice but it still feels kinda Linuxy (as in, held together with duct tape) and I keep roling up Firefox by mistake. SerenityOS or FreeBSD, something Unix-like, may be more what I'm looking for.

I said it was rhetorical. I know the reason is because a lot of people here view the world in pro-America and anti-America with latter being "pure good" and the former "pure evil".

I wonder what your opinion is on Afghanistan.

Looks better in a court "of law".

There are new games?

In all serious, the indie scene is full of new games that don't require a new GPU to run. A Day of Maintenance and Ephipany City and Mouthwashing and Unsorted Horror and Cosmic Wheel of Sisterhood (to name the few specifically new games that I've played and really loved on my RX580, which is about 40% less powerful).

Why does everyone on this platform assume that just because I'm pro-Ukraine, I must automatically be pro-Israel (rhetorical question). I'm against any country trying to do a land grab at the cost of human lives.

And whataboutism with Israel doesn't make Russia bombing schools and hospitals any better. Neither does Ukraine using them to house military equipment and personell.

Russia's been bombing Ukrainian schools and hospitals, if Russia does retaliate I don't think a drone attack on war planes is sufficient to call it "provoked".

I can't believe Javascript on PDF's is enabled on default on Firefox. NOBODY wants that.

I considered Proton Drive but stopped when I realized that if I did then access to my email would be contingent on keeping up to date with my subscription, where it wouldn't on the free tier.

I meant more on the security front than UI, but Librewolf does mention "security" 5 times on their page so I guess they are probably more secure than base FireFox.

Specifically the CEO of Proton thinks the Republicans were more responsive to his concerns about privacy, if I remember correctly.

I changed to Proton, but I don't want to spend money on Proton Drive because if I do and my payment lapses then I'll be unable to receive emails. FFS, why are they giving paying customers a less reliable service. Considered getting the lifetime Proton Pass offer but since I'll never use it it's too much to spend just on priority customer service and ensuring my account won't get deleted if I end up in a coma.
