They aren't demanding a cost per purchase, they are demanding a cost per install. The abuses this could lead to are widespread and could easily lead to many bankruptcies.

Well when using zstd, you tar first, something like tar -I zstd -cf my_tar.tar.zst my_files/*. You almost never call zstd directly and always use some kind of wrapper.

Yeah, and people nowadays don't even rewrite basic libraries! Everyone should have their version of glibc or they are just lazy!!!1!!1!

Yeah, it is great for many reasons. I really dislike modern websites that need to load a metric ton of js to load what could have been a little html and css. Reminds me of https://motherfuckingwebsite.com and forks.

I migrated from lastpass to pass using pass-import. Worked wonders.
