Hmm, that isn't something I have personally encountered. This tool looks promising even if it isn't under development anymore, but it might be worth a shot.

Yes, definitely. My biggest use is transparent filesystem compression, so I completely agree!
I can confirm that the cat is indeed not a number!
I agree for a specific scenario: if you don't use many unity specific packages or assets. Then, perhaps you are correct, still I don't blame anyone staying even in that case, as it is still daunting to take on such a task.
But it did save a nice percentage though!

When "soon" comes, take a look at Godot. You won't be screwed by them because it is FLOSS. Have fun!
There are some uis that allow for fine tuning (assuming you have an extremely high end rig designed for ml). For example ChatGPT alternative and DALLE alternative.
That sounds pretty nice, especially if you added onions to that! Might have to give that a go at some point.
If you have any sticking points, let me know, or post in the most popular Godot community and myself and other experienced peers will be more than happy to help!
With the current rate of enshitification, once a day may not be enough.
Godot 4 drastically improved the capabilities of godot, especially in the 3d realm. It isn't perfect, but I would say it is about on par with unity in terms of features. Note that some of the more advanced stuff are in modules that you need go download within the editor. This was done to keep the core light while not sacrificing features.
