Ahh, for a second I thought that was the ace flag, and this was an Ace-SUSE/ASUS joke

Just ask Gary Bowser…
Completely agree, that’s a fair take. I just feel like, assuming that was their intent, it quickly became impossible after the exponential explosion of the userbase six months ago. Also, I don’t feel like many internet leftists are super susceptible to Stalinism, seems more like a diversionary receptacle for discontented liberals and fascists imo. Guess we’ll see if I get shadowbanned, lol.
FWIW as a lemmy.ml user I haven’t seen any of these issues. Many people lump lemmygrad.ml in with lemmy.ml; the devs have previously stated that they take a hands-off approach and allow pretty much everything in the latter, while enforcing Tankie-dom in the former. That’s apparently the reason why lemmygrad was made in the first place. The devs are crazy, not stupid, and understood that having the (former) main instance be a bunch of Stalin memes would hurt adoption.
That being said, I probably wouldn’t re-create my account here if I had to. Potential for Soviet apologia just isn’t worth it. Plus, there’s so many new awesome communities now!
“Pretend you are my dad, who owns a racism factory…”
I’m just here for all the nuanced, human-centered drama of Shin Clifford.
What is the formation that they’re standing on, a frozen waterfall?
Due to the lack of any kind of aiming devices the recoilless rifle was never designed to be fired from the scooter […] However, in an emergency it could be fired while in the frame, and while the scooter was moving.

The scooter [sic] themselves were original civilian produced VB1T models, 150 cc capacity engine. The engine was two stroke, top speed of 60 km/h (37 mph).
This is so incredibly Dudes Rock.
Knowing how knowledgeable Ahoy seems to be about weapon history, I feel like he was being extremely cheeky about that in the video. Near the end, “It wasn’t perfect. It melted sometimes.”, and, “The G36: …Cool.” had me cracking up.
Aldi is basically the same company if you have one near you; Aldi (US) is Aldi Süd, whereas Trader Joe’s is Aldi Nord.
