Agreed. I think a lot of people are mistaking Carney's attempts at diplomacy for weakness and/or appeasement. I can understand their point of view, especially for the EU who aren't shy to express their distaste and don't have this monster at their doorstep like we do. But I do think before long Carney will have to tighten up a bit and stop trying to butter the guy up. It's a lost cause when it comes to Trump, as we've seen here. You could jerk the guy off every day and he would still turn on you at a moment's notice.

I didn't blame Carney for anything. Just expressed my hopefulness that we can now stop playing nice with Trump for the sake of securing a trade deal and move on.

Well, maybe Carney can stop pretending we still like him and get serious again. I know he wanted a trade deal, but it was doomed from the start. I appreciate him being humble enough to try, but fuck the US.

I have a very vivid memory of walking into a gas station at 2am with friends, high on mushrooms. We all went our separate ways to grab drinks and snacks, and then stood in a surprisingly long line with a few strangers to purchase them. I was in another dimension. All of us were. None of us were communicating with each other whatsoever. Just standing there in line with huge pupils and snacks in our arms. Then someone started snickering quietly. Then another. Then another. Soon it was psychedelic fucking pandemonium beneath those florescent gas station lights. I think even the strangers may have been having a good time. I'm not even sure how we managed to pay. Great memory, though.

Try to find that cool looking Beavis and Butthead site I saw my brother browsing in the earliest days of our internet access. I had asked him where he found it and he couldn't remember, so I searched and searched and searched to no avail. I never found that Beavis and Butthead site. I just remember there was a lot of yellow.

I've noticed this also. What do you think the psychology is here? Is it meant to make him seem stronger, or of tougher solidarity?

All I can say is that my wife could live in squalor for weeks without batting an eye, but simultaneously believes I'm high strung for not being able to chill if my space is dirty. Tells me to leave it. But we both know how bad it gets if/when I leave it, and it ends up being me who cleans it one way or another.

It's actually illegal to take a homeless man's hair unless he gives it to you.

I've dabbled enough in paganism to confirm that worshiping nature and the sun is a hell of a lot more meaningful than making up shit about God and wearing special hats. Sure, we know what nature and the sun is, but it doesn't make it any less spectacular, or any less of a genuine creator before our very eyes.

I have vivid memories of desperately trying to tell my dad that All That was just SNL but with kids, and it was hilarious. Now my five-year-old has found the All That reboot on YouTube, and I feel the pain that my father had felt.
