Sadly lots of features are not working on kbin, or less specifically various services in the fediverse. One example is spoilers. Last I checked there is no consistent spoiler syntax that works across the fediverse, and so spoilers are dangerous territory. Hell, even some apps don't handle spoilers appropriately just for Lemmy.

But the constant criticism of these new users posting in this community makes for a pretty unwelcoming community. If we want Linux's market share to grow and become more relevant to the average user, and we really should, then we need to be a welcoming community that encourages new users. Not a community that is hostile to new users. The good news is that it seems the majority of users here aren't complaining. But the complaint posts have been increasing it seems, and I'd personally like to see that stop.
Instead of complaining, if you don't like a post downvote and move on.
Oh look, yet another fucking post complaining about new users posting about their experiences switching to Linux. This should be a welcoming community welcoming to all Linux users new and old.
Personally, I'm finding all of these complaining posts to be far more irritating.
They will be the luckiest of all.
I really like that in RDR2 you can disable the mini map and replace it with a plain compass. It has the added feature that you can briefly show the mini map again if you need to get your bearings, and it disappears after a short delay. Definitely helps with the immersion.
At first I thought they were referring to time zones. Time zones were an invention by a Canadian. But turns out the first two cities in the world to have DST were in Canada. However, DST was proposed before then by multiple different people, so I am not sure one can say it was a Canadian invention. After the two Canadian cities, it wasn't until Germany in WWI that any nation had DST nationally. Other nations soon followed.
But only allow play with those supervised as they can eat them and it can cause major problems and require emergency surgery in some cases.
It's in contrast to something like LaTex or markdown, where you edit the syntax for formatting directly and don't see the final result until you preview or save it.
If the internet has taught me anything, it's that every fandom has it's insanely toxic element. Especially every game fandom.
