I think this is a tablet with a detachable keyboard

I know, left it out because I didn't want to explain a new term there.

You are not wrong. But this isn't even like proton, it's not for end users. It's intended for developer testing, so they can get an idea how well it runs on a mac, and then somehow be persuaded to do a proper mac port??

Cool suggestion, I'll try it out

You can of course try kbin, in case you like that software better. Kbin communities look like lemmy communities to lemmy users and lemmy communities look like kbin communities for kbin users.

As a side note, it's possible you have already interacted with kbin content without realizing it, isn't that cool? Federation between the two is still a bit broken, but it's getting there.

I'm operating a small instance, nothing here seems to be listed. They always appeared on browse.feddit.de after some time, so I suppose it searches for subs actively. Think you can do something like that in the future?

It is not fetched until a user searches for it.

Audio jacks, VGA, and HDMI, I think. Things you'd expect from a quantum board.

I don't know who to root for / against here

Can still copy it off the comment field if the system decides to swap posts. Just have to double check before pressing enter.

Sorry for the confusing comment, it ended up in completely wrong post.

Yes! It's a bug. The post suddenly changes, while I'm writing a comment. I also deleted it immediately, but that didn't seem to federate properly. I resurrected and edited it, hoping that'll update for everyone. Original intended context: https://lemmy.world/post/129333
