After looking at the voting of the main two options supported by people here, I decided on moving the community to Piefed. It was basically neck-and-neck when contrasting the active contributors to the community who voted (I did preference them over people who had never interacted), and I decided the outcome based on my preferences here.

No slight is meant here to sopuli.xyz. I know little about it other than it is a well-respected instance, it's just that Piefed has had my eye for some time, and is a very interesting and fast-developing lemmy alternative with a lot of cool functions that Lemmy lacks (polls, flairs, topics, feeds (basically multireddits), and post/community notification subscriptions to name the most notable) - and the television community on here was already working as a kind of shadow instance and had collected 200 subscribers from very little activity that I set up briefly before lemm.ee announced it was closing its doors. I was also using it when creating my Forumverse Feed system. Piefed Accounts do only currently work with the Interstellar app right now to my knowledge, but expanded application support is on the way - but it can be browsed across most of the fediverse in any case.

And even if piefed.social as an instance itself does collapse or we get upset at how the instance is managed, or it can't take the load - piefed communities are designed to be modular, and easily movable across other piefed instances. So if necessary television@piefed.social could easily move to another piefed instance and lose no content and potentially even automatically take piefed users with them without having to resubscribe (not sure on this one). And there are multiple new instances based on piefed popping up now. So ultimately this in theory protects television or any incoming community from having to completely start all-over again.

And even though lemm.ee has like 20 days left, it's quickly deteriorating as people leave it, close communities. So its time to build and get back to spamming TV articles and inane questions.

Television Matrix Room Link for anyone who has any suggestions, grievances or whatever.

(it does not)

Rimu asked me (or someone in the matrix) to test it lol. That's why I reposted it in the first place. He's aware.

Yes, it gets through - but is it stickied?

It only transfers to piefed though, so anyone interacting with it from outside of piefed won't see it

I meant more in how its deflated activity on here specifically as it won't exist in less than a month.

I can kinda see in real-time how the shutdown announcement has deflated the community interaction.

Note, me and Blaze already started tinkering with the piefed.social community I set up some weeks ago and it has reached 100 local subscribers with very little advertisement.

Yet in the meantime, it can cause communities to lock-up. I would argue a week is more realistic. Plenty of communities are that abandoned.
