Maybe I'm remembering it wrong but didn't Balatro get a mature rating because it was said to be too similar to actual poker and classified as simulated gambling or something lmao.

Thanks! You are correct, the one on the right is my 30mm green YMI set. The new one (at least if my research is correct) is a color variation of Matsuoka's Tenwa set

After introducing some friends to riichi mahjong that I now regularly play with I decided to invest into a nicer set. Made a little comparison shot for a friend and thought I might share it here as well.

They were a bit shocked when I asked for 16000 points from each of them but they took my word for it. ^^ We played a few more rounds which mostly ended in draws and then switched to other games that we planned for the night. We will play again in the future I am sure.

My friends were also very fond of the feel of IRL Mahjong. Can't blame them. ^^

Introduced some friends who were interested in Riichi Mahjong tonight just so the first proper round ends like this lol.

Funnily enough also my first ever yakuman. Would have never expected to get my first one IRL instead of MajSoul.

Just like my old physics teacher. Heard stories about him telling the students, that Pd (Palladium) is named after him (his last name had the same abbreviation).

Also jokingly using the screen of a calculator as a scale for weighing metal ball bearings.

Adding to the other comments; I once saw a interesting video of a visual demonstration of that effect and other weird things that happen close to the speed of light. It was this one if i remember correctly: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ge_j31Yx_yk

I'd say its similar. Though from the limited dataset of peer reviews I have, I'd say that peer reviews are more informative / detailed while code reviews usually have way less typos lol.
