I work on a peninsula where the majority of the land is a nature preserve so I see a lot of wildlife. There are turkey and deer everywhere, the biggest rats I've ever seen, and all kinds of birds and insects. Last year I rescued close to a dozen turtles that had wandered into the middle of the plant.
He was about 5 feet away on the other side of a railcar I was walking by. Sat there long enough for me to pull out my phone and get a few good pictures.
I can't say for sure this is the same one but I'd like to think that it is. It's in the same area as where I found it. This is a picture of one of three fledglings I found running around with one of the parents.
One of the parents was running around the drain making a bunch of noise, went to investigate and found the baby trapped inside. I fished it out with a hair net wrapped around a coat hanger that I taped to a broom handle.
