Can you model stuff in 3D?

If not. Hold off and learn 3D modelling first.

If so, jump in now. Nothing is coming down the pipeline in the next year or two that will be game-changing on the 3D Printing side of things.

Don't buy any printer that's not a CoreXY style, everything else is sub-optimal. At least FDM printers that is.

No.

1 - Breaker will go before you can pull too much current through that wire for it to get hot.

2 - LED Lights aren't breaking any breakers.

PLA will be fine.

But isn't ARM just a hell of a lot better than any of these intel chips?

Everything I've seen that's small form factor and low power is going ARM, and the list of things not compatible with ARM is getting real small.

For mechanical engineering, any thing computer or programming related will be

Python and C/C++

knowing your way around MATLAB.

and maybe possibly Ladder-Logic or Function Block. (PLC's and the like)

All depends on what engineering you end up doing. But Python is a good place to start.

I mean.. sure?

With my job at the moment, I don't need to go out and tend a garden or hunt for food for my family. I don't need to carry water from a source and then find a way to clean it. I have light and warmth at a flick of a switch. I don't need to wash my clothes by hand.

So at the moment, I'm 'enjoying' not having to do all of the above, by providing a single service that then opens up all of the above to me.
And I can also find time to type shit on the internet.

But if your not enjoying or can even tolerate whatever job you have to provide the above, then you can certainly go back to looking after your needs solo.

We have restarted up functional print over here at kbin,

Templates, stencils, jigs and fixtures are absolutely functional printing. One of the best functional use cases of a 3D Printer is the abundant use cases of how it enhances another hobby. Just making a drill template so the holes are in an accurate layout is extremely helpful.

Define Canadian alternatives, and what products are you even getting from Amazon?

Amazon employ's Canadians at Canadian distribution centre's. The contractors delivering to you from Amazon or other shippers are Canadian people.

So what are you attempting to avoid or what are you looking for?
