Martha and John Kent may not have changed the world, but Superman sure did

I'm agreeing with the person I responded to. I think the community/subreddit setup is prone to echo chambers, and a lot of people assume their bubble's standards are how the whole site should behave. It can be bad if you're used to behaving a certain way that's considered "extreme" outside of your bubble. For example - a video game community may have different social standards than an LGBT community, and two LGBT communities on different instances will be different.
Politics are prone to attracting extreme behaviors, and I've already seen that some democrats here can get just as aggressive as conservatives on reddit. And just like reddit, that aggressive behavior isn't allowed in all communities. But if it's not curbed right away it can lead to the entire site having a hostile undertone to every interaction. I don't know how things will go long term but I'm not a fan of the extremism I've seen popping up so far.
When I was in middle school, a girl did in fact get a bug bite on her eyeball. It was blood red for a week and she couldn't see well, but long term she was fine.
It just goes to show that the way others see us isn't the same as how we see ourselves.
I highly disagree. You can't expect every comic to be top shelf, especially if you're getting it for free. OP has been improving with every post - because they're gaining experience with practice. Hiring a writer (with what money?) would undermine their own growth. You're welcome to read more polished comics (like The Weekly Roll), but remember that people dont magically spring up with skill in art and writing right out of the gate. Not to mention that once someone starts making "professional level" work it's either paywalled or lower priority than paying work.
Constructive criticism also isn't "just stop doing that". You need to give actionable advice. For example, I always recommend new comic creators pick up the Understanding Comics/Making Comics/Reinventing Comics trilogy by Scott McCloud. They're textbooks that cover all sorts of writing and illustration techniques.
I like this story, and it's certainly better than something I could write or draw. The frequency of updates has been amazing. I'm excited to see where things go.
It's an older meme, so it's possible OP just googled a quick template and didn't realize it wasn't the original.
US Midwest - the restaurants I visit don't have iced tea (IF they serve cold tea, it's the premade kind at the soda fountain). I get a cup of hot water, a single bag of black tea, and sometimes a lemon slice. If there isn't sugar at the table you have to ask for it.
😂 leave that shirt as it is. Use it to decorate your house, and as a reminder of your hubris.
Oh man, you guys are thinking way too big. Become the CEO of 3 small companies! Abscond with your 3 100k paychecks while working 10 hours a month. You'll never make the news. Enjoy the easy life.
Actually, you're right. You said I had ASPD, not ASD. Sorry about that.
Would anyone be interested in a comic book community? It seems like the other comic communities are being camped on by "mods" with empty accounts. I'm not sure if @literature.cafe would allow a majorily image based group.
