I'd imagine most people using YouTube aren't looking for TV/movie style content, rather the user created stuff. Or maybe TV shorter clips.

This is true. Best use is still using something like soulseek for offline files but algorithm actually let's you discover outside of the same couple dozen bands

its a damn shame. Instead taxpayers focus on banning queer kids from showing themselves. Meanwhile corpos are building entire profiles on your kids.

If it's a work commute then it's actually fairly on track. I commute 20 miles on train everyday one way, so 40 each day. That adds up quickly

Thanks for the suggestion! Only have two more years left in my rad tech program. I'm down to use office, just wanted to see if some easier open source options exists.

This might be what I need! Do you have some good setup docs? I don't have any self hosting setup currently but I see you can host it on other sources

Is there a good setup for public pcs? I often end up doing coursework at the library or on a work computer, which is the main reason I wanted cloud syncing.

I already use it for password manager so I would love to expand it if it'll fit into my beeds

[–] Sentinian@lemmy.one 5 points 2 years ago

I actually have that exact setup currently. My old Google emails are linked to a couple things so I only use those in my Foss apps to access them

[–] Sentinian@lemmy.one 2 points 2 years ago

Shared doc are very rare, but I have used them.

My personal devices run Linux and windows, but I also use public computers running mac and windows. And in worse case scenario I note take on my phone as well

I might try this if no other options exist however.

Unless you are trying to the the ps3 game the ps2 and psp should be able to be emulated on literally any pc.

Hell psp runs fine on most android phones as well.

You literally have to be trying to not find a way to play these games if you say they aren't easy to play. Fuck legality if the copyright hold is sitting on these games for no fucking reason

Hello c/music, recently I've been trying to add lyrics to my local media files. I've tried multiple automated stuff but they tend to be non synced and those that are synced tend to be wrong.

Wanted to hear your suggestions for synced lyrics. For context I currently use musicbee and have genius, bandcamp, and lyricfy as the sources.

Hello Wonderful people!

I have a few questions. I mainly want a framework due to the right to repair aspect and the ability to upgrade at future points as needed

I'm getting this for college. Other then coursework I pretty much will only be watching videos, streaming from my jellyfin server, and very light gaming (think Celeste).

I wanted to know if I should go for the i5-1340P or the i7-1360P Framework 13? I doubt I need the processing power so much as I need the battery life. For context my current laptop has a Intel i7-10510U and a 73Wh battery. As for memory and storage, I intend on recycling those from my lemur pro which has 16gb of ram and 1 tb NVME.

My other question is if I should buy the 13 or wait for the 16 in general? I assume I could upgrade the 13 to the 16 specs at any point if I understand this laptop correctly. I want to ensure that I can just buy this and keep upgrading as needed.

This video is an incredible look into the idea of size and space in video games. Highly recommend a watch.

Hello community! I'm curious about what y'all favorite long tracks are? By long I mean 10+ minutes (that is at least long to me with short attention span normally). For me it's The Past Is A Grotesque Animal by Of Montreal (linked)
