The reason why people thought that sub 2s times were impossible was because with the 1.83s pitstop red bull had in interlagos 2019, we were already approaching limits as to how fast tyres could be changed. So adding around 0.2 seconds to that time it seemed sub 2s would no longer be possible. Red bull seemed to have found a way to improve anyway and hence the 1.9

Yeah he went from matching Lando to becoming 7 tenths slower. Only damage can explain that.
