So if you want to use it for gaming and have and AMD or Intel GPU and not an NVidia one, you'll have to stick to Ubuntu's outdated Mesa and kernel drivers.

This is not true. Pop OS packages its own kernel and often the kernel version provided by pop is upstream of the Ubuntu version. It is only recently that they have fallen behind ubuntu because they have diverted their resources to creating the Cosmic DE.

Edit : Also to be noted is the fact that being on the latest version of mesa is only necessary if you have very new hardware which may not be supported well(or at all) in the older versions of mesa. I for example have an RDNA1 gpu and saw no performance difference between mesa 22.5 on pop os and mesa 23.1 on endeavourOS. People using RDNA3 or Intel Arc may see massive performance/stability difference because these are very new hardware and drivers/optimisation for these current gen GPUs is ongoing

Because Ubuntu will reinstall snapd during some updates and then try to replace some native apt packages to snap

Not inherently. Open source means that the code used to create the software is accessible to all and can be looked at or used by anyone as long as they obey the license associated with the code. So while there can be trackers in open source code, since the code can be viewed by anyone, it is highly likely these trackers will be found and the application will be ostracised if that happens.

As far as I know. The app is open source, ad free and trackerless which means no data collection

There seems to be no way to save images when using the native app. Anybody else facing this issue¿?

Thanks I am a bone head. Well I will try to contribute my part then. Tried through GitHub but the payment/transfer was not getting processed.

The problem is the spray not the tyre itself. At the wetness level at which the wets are relevant, the spray is so much that we can't race. By the time we can get back to racing, it is no longer wet enough for wets

Yeah I don't know man. The community has like 43 average users a month. So while the subset of people who spend money on skins and care enough about reddits anti consumer like practices is not null, it is small nonetheless.

My logic is that people that buy skins and play games with such micro transactions must not be bothered by the actions of reddit and hence few of them would have migrated to lemmy

How do you donate to the linux kernel team(for a lack of a better term). kernel.org does not have any links to donation and neither does the linux foundation
