I use concepts of games I like. Right now Alan Wake and Pacific Drive are the two of them.

  • Main Laptop: Typewriter
  • Steam deck: Poet
  • NAS: The Lake
  • Main Pc, that has become more a render station since I mostly work on a laptop and game on a steam deck: Lighthouse
  • Hue Hub: Light switch
  • Phone: Flashlight

But when I started to be more interested in networking and installed openwrt on my router, I was more infatuated by Pacific Drive:

  • Router: Outer Containment Wall
  • WiFi 5/2.4 Dual: ARDAnet
  • WiFi for iot: RemnantNet
  • GuestNet: OEZone
  • VPN: BreacherNet
  • Switch: SparkTower

How is it more creepy than the tones you hear when dailing a phone number?

I think it is more about ambiguity. It is easier for a computer to intepret set tones and modulations than human speech.

Like telephone numbers being tied to specific tones. Instead of the system needing to keep track of the many languages and accents that a '6' can be spoken by.

DOGE for thee, but not for me.

First time seeing the term 'conservotard'. It definitely has a Spanish ring to it.

That doesn't reflect my experience. But tough on your friend.

How so? All parts are replacable with just a screwdriver. I do have to disclose I am replying to you on a FP5.

I was thinking more like PATHOS-II.

Yes, but it is also sometimes something different. I have it in muscle memory, and sometimes have to retype everything because I accidentally navigate the browser back one step...

"I like pancakes" "So you hate waffles?"

Earth is and always has been the giant beaker of chemicals that has one of those magnetic stirrers in it, thanks to the moon.

I still want to have a copy of it when the world ends and I somehow survive. So I would say it is a decent source of truth.
