Würde noch ergänzen wollen: Der Überspannungsschutz für Endgeräte, also zum Beispiel in Steckdosenleisten, ist "nur" ein Feinschutz (Überspannungsschutzgerät bzw. Surge Protection Device der Klasse 3). Um wirklich vor Überspannung durch Blitzeinschlag z.B. ins Netz zu schützen braucht es noch Schutzgeräte der Klassen 1 und 2 (Grob- und Mittelschutz) in der Haupt- und Unterverteilung oder ein Kombigerät in der Hauptverteilung.
