It’s evolved over time, females used to ghost write with male names for scifi. They all have their “biases”. But that’s also public perception as well, if that’s what sells shrug.

I would imagine a lot of males ghost write with a female name.

Murphy’s law predates anything that could be considered UI design.

Cougar, older women attracted to younger men.

Because they likely have alleys that delivery vans go down, I already addressed that in my first comment ;)

It’s almost like people probably are using g the best material for the situation since you know, they live there and designed it =D

Being a smart ass doesn’t work when your “opinion” was already covered by the person you responded to.

Shops can use a rug, there’s lot more efficient, durable and less costly options that provide the same or better.

They break, and they’re ugly from wear. They’re worn because they’re not the right material for the use case. And no one wants to cart a hand dolly on broken tile. You’re really doing a fantastic job giving more reasons why tile shouldn’t be used when heavy loads are anticipated……

Every 15 years is terrible for road length, you’re kinda proving my point. Costly replacement too. It just doesn’t work for any type of road that needs to carry loads.

Or any place with extreme weather, or a lot of rain, or etc.

Tiles aren’t for heavy traffic.

It’s just for different scenarios. Complete bollards are used for terrorist scenarios, while OPs is used for accidents.

People are apparently too focused on their bias to comprehend that… different scenarios exist with different solutions. Don’t conflate them because you have an axe to grind.

For YOUR image, of course bollards are used, but you see how in your image they COMPLETELY block access? And in how OPs picture you can swerve around? The ad is for fucking accidents lmfao.

Totally different scenarios mate.

[–] SchmidtGenetics@lemmy.world -3 points 3 days ago (6 children)

Uhh. Wouldn’t the terrorist just swerve around it and hit them anyways…?

This is clearly for accidents dude, the hell kinda stretching you doing here?

The user I responded to suggested to replace it with tile, I was providing a few reasons why it couldn’t be.

Yes they do it at night, but they still need some road that can handle the load. Tile just doesn’t hold up.

Nothing too special, just some misting nozzles and some pvc.

The beds are 4x12’ with the heads spaced every 1’ starting and ending 2’ from the end.

She was mostly deaf and blind her last few years, but she managed perfectly fine on her own unless we moved stuff around. She could still see shapes, and when I turned to look at her she would still wag her tail, so not fully blind.

Planted about 4 years ago, and gets dead headed every year. It started out as a multi coloured plant, down to just the one colour now.

So I bought some wildflower mixture, and they recommend to thin/blend with sand so you can see where you broadcast and go see it easier. So I took one step further and added clover as well.

I have 2 wildflower mixes, 10gs of each, I know it’s probably not enough to get a dense lawn, but that’s also why I thinned it clover that I’ve already started turning the lawn over to.

So I took about 1/2 of one of wildflower packets and mixed it with 1 scoop of clover seed and 5 scoops of play sand. Gonna broadcast my entire front lawn, ther grass isn’t too tall yet, although I should mow to the lowest setting first.

Anyways follow along for updates on this adventure!
