It keeps a certain politician out of jail.
Serious answer: could be drugs/alcohol but he looks like he could be older and dementia is a possibility.
It’s always the ones you’d most suspect.
Subaru
Had a previous car that was manual. Then I bought a car with a CVT (continuously variable transmission) and it’s such a nuisance because it is always unpredictable when it will shift. So you go to pass someone, step on the gas and sometimes it takes off and other times it fiddles with shifting for a second before giving you any power. Can also be a real pain in stop and go traffic because it will have unpredictable amounts of power when starting from a stop. I’ve had this vehicle since 2017 and it’s always been this way. I don’t miss having to shift constantly but I do miss having a reliable amount of power when I’m in a certain gear - that’s what is so nice about a manual transmission. You feel more in control of the car. That said, my daily driver now is electric with no transmission and that is the best of all.
MSNBC Recap of the situation.
Basically Musk attacked Trump on Twitter over the big bill. It’s been escalating rapidly with Musk insinuating Trump should be impeached and threatening to start a “centrist” political party and Trump threatening Elon’s government contracts.
I truly hope this is the spiritual successor to the first game. I am one of those who was disappointed by Below Zero as I felt like they abandoned the core elements that made the first game so great.
I’ll confess I was a bit disappointed when they were like “We know you guys really love the Seamoth and Cyclops but no they aren’t going to be in the game.” If they just made a new (big!) map and story with all of the game play elements of the first game I think it would be a smashing success.
The video of the girl walking through fire is horrifying. Then you learned she lived and it’s like oh thank goodness!
Then they interview her and she is bawling while discussing her dead siblings and my heart sunk.
Then they asked about her mother and she started describing how much she loved her mother. Her mother is dead too. I don’t know how to describe how I feel now. This hollowed out, desperate pain. Impotent rage.
There’s a lot of truth in your observations. As a physician who has worked at multiple hospitals over the years I would love to share my own perspective on what you’ve said about healthcare.
Basically it’s mostly true with a few notable exceptions. Many of the hospitals I’ve worked at did not leave me feeling warm and fuzzy and I would not want to be a patient there.
There are exceptions however. The most notable would be pediatric hospitals. Every pediatric hospital I’ve worked at has left me feeling in awe of the level of care that is consistently provided. As far as my respect of other specialties goes, it’s hard for anyone to top pediatrics. The people who choose to become pediatric healthcare providers are just on another level. They are usually highly intelligent, compassionate, and patient. Things you would hope for from all physicians but the pediatric folks almost always deliver.
I also want to say that I do not have those negative feelings about the university hospital system where I did my residency training. Nowhere is perfect and I saw mistakes made but the overall level of care I saw in my years there was very much on par with what I hoped to see when I went into medicine.
But since then I’ve worked at multiple private practice and religious hospitals and yeah…. There’s a lot of room for improvement in a few of those places.
Maybe. Or the propaganda will have been so successful that nobody will discuss climate change because that’s just the way things are.
Surely you can’t be serious.
