I used to build those Mac clones back in the mid to late 90s. We were building high-end video editing systems, and you could either get a PowerMac 9600 or one of the clones. I actually used to do this during orientation sessions at my old job. I'd tell the new hires that if they were ever confused by terminology or acronyms, they should never be afraid to ask, because if people are using jargon or TLAs that they don't follow, they will miss the context.

A recession is a significant, widespread, and prolonged downturn in economic activity. If people are driving up the prices of houses, it's not a recession. In a recession, house prices plummet because nobody is buying them.
