You can protest in other, non violent ways.
Ronno
No, but responding by looting stores is just unacceptable. Imagine being the shipowner, or imagine your car being burned… violence is not the answer. It is not protesting either. These people are just looking for a reason to fight the police and steal stuff
Are you justifying looting and violence?
But can Mark… die?
Looting shops is not protesting
Wait, can we edit/fill in forms directly in Kbin? Wow!
But of course. In the same way that you don't make a test easier for the student that gets bullied.
The criteria and rules to enter the EU have been created through decades of small changes, ensuring that every element in our norms and values is covered. Skipping some of these steps will only result in further misalignment in the future, causing friction. Look for example at Hungary. I am not sure if they took this train of thought/direction recently or if their stance towards the EU was always like this, but if it is the latter, then the EU failed to judge that in the joining process.
My personal take on this is that the EU has already become too big. It used to be small at first, with countries that shared similar beliefs and culture. I think the EU today is way too polarized to be effective. Sure, it is now bigger on the world stage, making a larger fist for our policies. But has also become more difficult to draft policies, due to the cultural and economic differences of its members.
Yeah that's what I mean, if the game devs can show that the AI language model is fully trained on its own IP, then it should be fine.
I think that it is quite feasible to do though. Take for example Lord of the Rings. If the game dev has the rights to Lord of the Rings and its books, then it can be completely fine to write prompts for NPC text as: Produce a response to question X as if the NPC is living in Mordor, with his background as a blacksmith etc... AI can then generate that text under the IP of Lord of the Rings just fine. And it will always be the right tone of voice. Same can be done using dynamic events etc.
I'm not sure this is to ensure the content is made by humans, that isn't the goal. Valve just wants to ensure that the game dev owns the rights of the content created for the game. Using AI, you can still own the rights in some scenario's as long as the AI doesn't use inputs that it doesn't have the rights to.
This is a very good development, it ensures that creators and owners of content are safeguarded, while at the same time ensuring that gamers get fresh and new content.
I don't mind having to watch an ad every now and then, a couple of years ago the ads were still acceptable, watch 30s, one ad, the video starts and enjoy. Now it is two or three ads and the start, which can be longer than the video itself, and you can have ads in the middle of the video. It just becomes very annoying, very quickly. Hence, I started blocking these ads more and more.
