I think of the humanity of Palestinians,of the bravery of the people of Yemen, and the steady progress of China

The old worlds dying throes are merely the last screams of a starving beast, the last shouts of an unholy choir of slaughter and destruction and the coming of a silence that will give birth to a new and better song, one of brotherhood, peace and understanding between the peoples of the world

God damn the English language is an endless etymological treasure trove of racism

They already mostly have, joint citizenship has been a thing since 2007,now it's either people who were too young to leave, pro Russia people and people who were too poor to leave

Exactly my idea

What I'm saying is that as the EU frays and breaks, Romania will pursue this on its own. That was my idea, that we'll do intercountry agreements that will act as a roundabout way of making them a member but not really a member. Way I see it,the elite isn't EU-cucked,it's NATO-cucked. In Europe,as everyone knows,NATO is king.I think we'll let the US station even more troops and hollow us out even more, with Moldova being the compensation. We're already building the largest NATO base in Europe at Kogalniceanu (everytime I go to Constanta I drive by it,I'm seeing they've already put the walls up) and we're gonna have those bullshit American SMRs here that will probably do some minor Chernobyls. Also, Moldova has no juice. Its not Ukraine, there's no Azov, and the military is miniscule. If a conflict is to break out, Romania will fight for them.

Also,HAHAHAHAHAHA,the Digi thing is fucking hilarious,I believe they rose out of the ad hoc internet networks that were built in the 90s and 2000s because we had no infrastructure and initially, like you said they offered very good prices for stellar internet. I use Digi now,but it's become a bit more expensive, but the internet is still good from my experience. Still, fucking hilarious thing.

Also, yeah, here we have that with Bulgaria,to a lesser extent.

I'm going to disagree here, unlike Macedonia or Georgia, there is a concerted push by Romania on this.I fully believe the end goal here is reunification and even if it will not happen under direct EU tutelage,it will probably look something like Moldova further chaining itself to Romania(we already supply most of their energy and are buying their only Danube port) with the border between the two becoming less and less tangible with them eventually becoming de facto united after Pridniestrovie and Gagauzia leave.

I remember seeing something about how in Mexico, the white americanized city people act like tourists in their own country when visiting the less developed areas

This is exactly how the diaspora here act, they come here on vacation because we have the lowest prices in EU (for them, for us it's eyewateringly expensive),they drive their fancy BMWs, disregard traffic laws and then go on to say that it's still a backwards country and that everything here is shit and then come autumn they scurry back to Germania to work in some multinational company or as you said small business

Yeah, but I think it was a combination of the diaspora, who I've increasingly grown to despise, both here and in Moldova, and pro Russia people being urged to boycott the vote

I remember hearing some stuff about how the NO vote would have won by something like 80.000 plus votes if those who boycotted participated

Also, yeah, Romania is stretching it's legs and infiltrating itself into Moldovan society more and more,so the young people result is probably caused by this, plus,we kinda see each other like brother countries, with Moldova being the junior sibling and the pro EU culture of youth here would have made the youth there follow our example

[–] [email protected] 22 points 10 months ago

Yeah,to be expected,I remember seeing something about this

Both in Bucharest and Moscow the polling stations were open until 23,in Moldova they closed at 21

[–] [email protected] 25 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Sure, but this time it'll dispell all misguided notions people may have had up to this moment is my point

Oh and to add to the point made about Pridniestrovie,my personal opinion is that they will be cut loose and tossed to Russia in the process of accession to the EU, simply because once Ukraine dies down, the US will force the EU to eat up whatever remains of it,and Moldova with it,to fully kill it as a viable organization.

However,in the worst case scenario, where war breaks out,if Moldova attacks/is attacked, Romania will absolutely join in. As for what NATO will do,well,I suspect we'll find out during Trump's second term that NATO is now a tiered subscription service and that, conveniently enough,Eastern European nations don't get the full premium package, but something like the Ukrainian subscription plan.

A small balm to the soul for me is that if we have a Ukraine 2 here,my hometown will be in the Russian occupied zone, seeing as the county it's in is a border county, with a Lipovan Russian minority. Silver linings I guess.
