the thing while yes, inflation will make things more expensive, the more expensive things become the less folks will just spend on random entertainment. they will have to use their money more deliberately and frugally.

and the problem with games are that there are many free and cheaper alternatives. if you wanna game you can just spend less and still game and have fun.

if you wanna go to the cinema it pretty much costs what it costs so you might go less often or buy less popcorn but you won’t skip one movie because it’s more expensive than another.

you can just skip full price AAA games. buy them on sales, play games you already have, play free to play games, emulate retro games, play indie games.

mainly wait for open signups for any tracker or make some friends and be super lucky that one is already on a closed tracker

that sounds fun! when it comes to adding mods later down the line (i just assume you would do that) does that usually work well?

i feel mods which impact the world gen could be fine as long as you go to new places so new chunks get generated

or maybe which mods did you start this world with? or you’re playing with?

what is a forever world? i never heard that term before but it kinda sounds like a world you just try i take from update to update and always play?

also looks good!

bsky started with nine of its posts. wing shown publicly so when they flopped the switch (i think they also opened registration without invites) some people who had gotten used to their post being hidden from the rest of the net felt exposed and the devs added this settings.

while i do not think its a great setting i kinda get it. especially given that there are not (yet) private accounts so that’s the best they have

i doubt that because if they did it what reason would there be to not use one of the many chromium derivatives out there?

remember when social media CEOs weren’t like… this? i miss those days much more than some official game account taking a potshot back.
