This is just going to speed the growth of Twitter alternatives like Mastodon, which is great, but it's sad to see such a once-innovative, widely-used platform degrade to this level of shittiness. All because of a deranged wealthy idiot with an unchecked ego. This was a communication platform, FFS!

I'm not sure there's much reason to pick up where the show left off though, unless it's for a one off limited series covering the Romulan War or something
Interestingly enough, they were planning long-term story arcs about the early days of the Federation and the Romulan war starting with season 5 when the show got canned. It's a damned shame they never got to execute that plan, because the show grew its beard in season 3 and started getting really good in season 4. The show proved it's worthiness at that point, in my opinion. That last season had some real gems, it's actually one of my favorite seasons of Trek overall. If it hadn't been canceled and were allowed to run its course (say, 7 seasons), I'm convinced Enterprise would be held in as high regard as TNG and DS9 today.
I, too, prefer the design on the left; however, If I may make a suggestion, I would flip it horizontally so the bird faces the right. As you know, western printed language flows from left to right; from a design perspective, the aesthetic of right-facing imagery subtly implies a "forward" direction, or moving forward to the future. Considering the purpose of this icon in this new frontier, I think that would be appropriate.

I'd take this with a grain of salt. Mark Penn, chairman of The Harris Poll and one of three who supervised this poll, is a known Trump supporter who believes in the Democratic "deep state" conspiracy theory. Dritan Nesho, CEO of HarrisX and the second person supervising this poll, tries to appear bipartisan in public, is a little more discreet but is also a Trump supporter. I gave up looking up stuff on these people cuz I feel gross now. Dunno how The Harris Poll and HarrisX are affiliated. Yeah this poll is b.s.
