Republicans started a campaign against Hillary at the the start of Bill Clinton's Presidency. The playback to hurt Bill, who they had no answer for, was simular to what they are doing to Hunter Biden now. They knew she was smart and Bill was using her as an advisor. They investigated her and trash talked her for years. This gradually embedded itself into the American psyche so when she did start to achieve on her own, the Republican myths surfaced. You can still still see see them in this string.
Not when he's in the US. Here he has Secret Service protection plus probably his own.
The Judge has already stipulated there was fraud. This bench trial is too establish the amount of the penalty. The prosecutor's ask is a minimum of $250 million, but the judge can move that number anywhere he wants. There is no deal available. His guilt is already stipulated
As with all aid, it is more fair to look at it as a percentage of GDP. In that way, the US has not given a hell of a ot more than other countries. But, the point is really a perception and reality issue. Without US aid Ukraine will surely fall and the US will be blamed by those countries Putin invades next. All of the US, not just Republicans.
