I mean usually if these systems are well architected and have enough head room they will just continue to run. It becomes problematic if you introduce change and don’t know them well. Change is the biggest factor leading to incidents.

Hm doch. Ich finde das brauchen wir schon. Eine so kleine Anzahl an Nutzern wie es hier gerade gibt schafft es einfach nicht die ganzen Nieschen zu füllen. Reddit ist gerade so interessant weil es zu jedem Thema nicht nur eine Person, sondern eine ganze Hand voll gibt die dazu beitragen. Passiert das hier nicht wird es immer Niesche bleiben. Schön mal reinzuschauen aber im Alltag nutzt man dann doch wieder Reddit.
Yes this is mainly a US problem. Buy not exclusively. I assume it’s the main market for such calls due to the size and low language barrier.
Yeah that’s super inconvenient. More so as a new user. I ended up visiting that site, copying the name and searching it in my own instance. Would be nice if that could be fixed in some way.
I’m not on lemmy.world, but I’d just like to say that im always sad when I see communities using Discord for communication. It’s the exact opposite of lemmy. And if one considers the current Reddit measures as harsh, they are pretty soft compared to Discords stance on such matters. Information that goes in there is basically lost. So go the entire way with Matrix.
